Olympique Lyon are close to appointing AC Milan and Italy legend, Gennaro Gattuso as their new manager a day after parting ways with Laurent Blanc.
Lyon have made a dreadful start to the season and sit bottom of Ligue 1with just one point from four matches.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, the former Napoli, Milan, and Valencia manager will replace Blanc, who was appointed in October last year.
Lyon failed to win a single match in pre-season and the 4-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain proved to be the last straw.

Therefore, if appointed, Gattuso will bring bags of experience to the seven-time French champions. He will be tasked with rejuvenating the players who struggled in Blanc's conservative style of play.
