Cork City-bound Sean Murray joined Glentoran in 2021
Midfielder Sean Murray has joined Cork City from Glentoran on a short-term loan deal.
The 30-year-old former Watford youngster linked up with Glentoran in 2021 but now joins City until the end of July.
Glentoran stated: “A recurring injury has restricted Sean to just 48 appearances for Glentoran since signing from Dundalk in the January 2022 transfer window, scoring two goals. We wish Sean all the very best for his loan period.”
Murray told the club: “Everything happened really quickly last week and I’m buzzing to be here. I know from playing at Turner’s Cross in the past what it’s like to come to play against Cork City; this is a big club. For Turner’s Cross now to be my home ground is brilliant and I am really looking forward to it.
“I know from playing here before that the home fans are loud and passionate, so to be playing in front of them will be great.”
Meanwhile, Derry City are closing in on the signing of Patrick Hoban from Dundalk.
