The Grand National winner for 2024 is I Am Maximus who jumped to victory in the world-famous steeplechase at Aintree today.
The 7/1 favourite was brought home by Paul Townend to the delight of trainer Willie Mullins, seven-and-a-half lengths ahead of next-closest finishers Delta Work and Minella Indo. Galvin arrived in fourth, people's favourite Kitty's Light in fifth and Ain't That A Shame completed the placed finishers list in sixth.
Of the 32 runners that began the world-famous steeple chase, 21 managed to complete the event. This means that 11 failed to make it around the gruelling circuit with some surprise names making that list.
