Guler proves to Ancelotti that he is ready to play
Real Madrid opened 2024 with a morning training session at their training ground, with Lucas Vazquez showing signs of improvement, Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga progressing towards his return and Turkey's Arda Guler proving to Carlo Ancelotti that he is fit enough to be given his first minutes after five months of misfortune.
The 'merengues' kicked off 2024 by extending the good dynamic in the recovery of injured players and except for those with serious knee injuries, Belgian Thibaut Courtois, Brazilian Eder Militao and Austrian David Alaba, plus Frenchman Ferland Mendy with a muscle injury that will prevent him from taking part in the first game of the year, the rest of the squad trained normally.
According to 'EFE' sources at the club, Lucas Vazquez is now recovered from the discomfort he had been carrying in his back. Meanwhile, Camavinga, is progressing positively after his gradual return to the group dynamic and on Monday he took another step forward. Ancelotti will be more cautious with his return due to the injury he has left behind, a ruptured external lateral ligament in his right knee suffered a month and a half ago, for which he was expected to be out for a longer period of time.
However, Guler is feeling good and has shown that he is fit enough to start 2024 by burying the injury nightmare he has experienced since his arrival at Real Madrid and his first mishap in pre-season. He has not yet been able to make his debut for his new team but his last muscle injury is now in the past. With one training session to go, he could be a new addition to the squad for the game against Mallorca.
