Harry Kane set for Tottenham return after Bayern Munich confirmation

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed a pre-season friendly with Bayern Munich. The game will see Spurs reunited with former striker Harry Kane.

Ange Postecoglou’s side will take on the German giant as part of the Visit Malta Cup with the clash being held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Bayern will visit north London on Saturday, August 10 with kick-off scheduled for 5.30pm.

It will be the 12th meeting between the two sides and the first since their Champions League meetings in the 2019/20 season. The game will also allow Kane to return to Spurs following his move to the Bavarian club last summer. The striker has scored 37 goals for Bayern so far this season and was joined by ex-Spurs teammate Eric Dier during the January transfer window.

The club have confirmed that tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders and One Hotspur members from 10am on Tuesday, April 2 with up to four tickets per person available.

Spurs have announced that adult tickets are priced at £30, while U18 tickets will cost £10. The club will announce further plans for pre-season in due course.

The game is likely to be Tottenham’s final pre-season game, with the 2024/25 Premier League campaign scheduled to start on Saturday, August 17. It will be a chance for Postecoglou’s team to test themselves against Champions League opposition as the team strive for a top four finish this season with the club three points behind Aston Villa, though having played a game less.
