The Grand National might be all about the horse racing but it's also about the party atmosphere.
That's something The Queens Arms knows all to well, as it has been hosting the "unofficial official afterparty" of the Grand National for coming up to 10 years. The Aintree pub, affectionately known as the Queens, on Warbreck Moor, is just a stone's throw away from the main entrance of racecourse.
It's easily one of the busiest pubs in the area during the Grand National festival from Thursday, April 11 to Saturday, April 13. The pub doubles its footprint over the three days with a marquee spanning the whole of the car park, fitted with a large container bar and the main stage for entertainment.

There is also an additional bar inside the pub to relieve the main bar and a converted Land Rover Defender bar in the rear beer garden. This year, manager Wayne Reynolds has promised more bars and facilities for their 10th party.
Wayne said: "We’re incredibly excited for our biggest three days of the year, not to mention the 10th anniversary which makes it even more special.
"We have some of the best entertainment Liverpool has to offer and we’re about a minute's walk from the entrance to the racecourse so why would you not want to start and end your day at the races with us."
The Queens opens at 10am on Thursday, April 11 with house DJ, Laura Dean kicking off the three-day party nice and early. The party will then step up a level at 4pm when DJ Laura will be joined by three of her bandmates who together form Elements Girl Band.
