Arsenal-linked Diant Ramaj believes he is ready to make the step up to the Premier League despite only signing for Ajax last summer.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper joined the Dutch giants from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, and has been one of a few bright sparks for Ajax during a disappointing season. His strong displays for Ajax have reportedly caught the eye of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea — among others.
He is said to be viewed as an ideal number two for the Gunners and United — who normally have David Raya and Andre Onana standing between the sticks respectively. But at Stamford Bridge, he could compete for the number one shirt.
Having addressed the speculation during this week's international break, the German told Voetbal International: «I’ve heard that too, yes. I see things like that as feedback for my work here. I see the fact that big clubs are showing interest as a compliment.
»I will continue to work on everything, as I am doing now.’ I don’t let myself get carried away, I just stay calm and keep improving details.
«That’s all that’s in my head, I’m too busy for other things [like a transfer] – that’s work for my agents to deal with.»
Asked whether he feels ready to make a step up to a more competitive league, he added: «I’m not afraid of anything, because I know what I can do. I just want to do my best here, let’s see what the future brings.»
