A number of supporters have defended coach Pitso Mosimane after one of his former players accused him of belittling some of the Al Ahly players during his tenure. Here's a look!
The story
Former Al Ahly star Nassr Maher recently claimed that Mosimane was the reason he didn't succeed at Al Ahly, as the South African boss treated him poorly.
KickOff readers on Facebook have expressed their opinions on the matter, with many acknowledging that it is difficult for a manager to please every player in his team.
"He belittled them but got the results for the team, hence they won the CL," says Bongani Mgubela.
"The problem with Pitso is he gets too emotional at times," says Katlego Michael.
"He is bitter that Pitso benched him," says Tumisang Mamabolo.
"You know one thing we as players forget is that the coach always takes the blame for our bad performance. That is why as a coach now, I don't take nonsense from players. It's either you get with the program or you ship out. It's as simple as that. We all have jobs to secure here and not egos," says Mzuvukile Nakani.
"Congratulations to a former Al Ahly star for being treated poorly," says Skhokho Groovein.
"Won the Champions lLague and defended it. I wonder if the current will defend it," says Zakes Mapoyi.
"They must leave our coach alone now. Not everyone will be happy if you have big squad," says Lubabalo Desmond.
"Are they players or models," says Tebatso Sello Montsha.
"Reminds me of Tony Silva," says Katlego Kaygee Kekana.
"Pitso doesn't have a superstar in his team. He tells it like it is," says Siyabonga Maverick Nxumalo.
"This is football and you can't be fair to everyone," says Phorane Masha.
