Brentford striker Ivan Toney has surprisingly picked Arsenal midfielder Jorginho as having the best right foot in the Premier League.
Jorginho's arrival at the Emirates Stadium from rivals Chelsea was met with scepticism from fans but despite this, the Italian has gone on to prove himself. He has often received praise for his mentality and technical ability from boss Mikel Arteta.
«You see his leadership, his understanding of the game, how he is coaching everybody,» the Gunners boss previously said. «You need players with those experiences who can guide, who can lead and can offer reassurances and show them the path of how it gets done.»
Linked with a move to Arsenal, Toney, when speaking toStadium Astro via TikTok namechecked some Arsenal stars when asked to create his ultimate Premier League footballer. The striker picked Jorginho twice, when asked about right foot and vision, while Martin Odegaard was also mentioned.
«I was going to mention myself but I'd sound too big headed,» he joked. «For vision, I'd say Jorginho or [Martin] Odegaard — their vision's good. Right foot, I'm gonna say Jorginho.
»Footballing brain, I'd say [Kevin] De Bruyne. Heading ability, [Diogo] Jota for Liverpool, he's very good at heading. Strength wise, I'd say [Virgil] van Djik or Kurt Zouma — they're both strong. Left foot, Cole Palmer."
Arsenal are known to be long-term fans of Toney but couldn't sign him during the winter transfer window with Financial Fair Play rules proving a sticking point. Arteta's side are expected to renew their interest in Toney in the summer but will face competition from Chelsea.
