Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has suggested the chance to return to Borussia Dortmund was too good an opportunity to turn down.
The winger returned to the Bundesliga outfit last month. He joined the club on loan for the remainder of the season having been frozen-out at Old Trafford since September.
Prior to his return to Germany, Sancho had not played a single minute of football since August, last featuring for United in their 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on August 26. Sancho was left out of the squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal the following weekend, with Erik ten Hag criticising his performance levels in training. The 23-year-old took to social media to hit back at the United boss and accused of him lying.

Banished from first-team activity since, it was clear he would have to leave Old Trafford in an attempt to get his career back on track. Dortmund registered their interest and did enough to re-sign him on a deal until the end of the campaign.
Explaining why he was more than happy to return to his old club, Sancho, speaking in a video interview shared by Bundesliga.com, said: "I made my debut in professional football here. It has always been a dream for me, so I'm happy to be back.
"I believe, personally, it is due to the fact I can reconnect with the fans. Obviously, there is Edin [Terzic] (head coach) and Sebastian [Kehl] (director of football). There is also obviously Marco [Reus] and a few other players, so I feel like it was the right decision.
