Frank Warren expects the WBC to order a rematch between Nick Ball and Rey Vargas after claiming the Scouser was 'robbed' on Friday night.
Ball failed in his bid to become Britain's newest world champion after his WBC featherweight title challenge against Vargas ended in a controversial draw at the Kingdom Arena. Giving up nearly half a foot in height and at least as much in reach, Ball faced an uphill battle from the opening bell in Riyadh, and he struggled in the opening four rounds of the contest.
However, from round five, Ball began to dominate proceedings, and by the time the fight reached the seventh, the 27-year-old landed his most substantial punch of the fight so far, wobbling Vargas with an overhand right and again rocking him later on in the round.

Ball continued building momentum in the following round, again rocking Vargas at the end of the eighth before forcing a standing count after outmuscling the Mexican and landing a left hook. Vargas remonstrated with the referee as the round drew to a close, and he recovered well to land a thudding left hook in the 10th.
But back came Ball as the fight entered the championship rounds, and he landed a huge right that sent Vargas flying to the canvas. However, the 33-year-old managed to beat the count and the onslaught that followed in the final round of the fight to hear the final bell.
And following scores of 114-112 for Vargas, 116-110 for Ball and 113-113, the fight was declared a draw, with the Mexican retaining his title. Ball was left devastated by the decision,
