Liverpool now know their state of play heading into the huge Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds host City at Anfield in the top-of-the-table clash, as they look to get all three points against their title rivals. Liverpool are one point ahead of the defending champions heading into the contest on Merseyside.
Just 24 hours earlier, fellow title rivals Arsenal were facing Brentford at the Emirates Stadium. Victory for the Gunners would send Mikel Arteta's team above Jurgen Klopp's side to the top of the table.
Arsenal left it late to claim a 2-1 win over Brentford on Saturday night, with Kai Havertz scoring the winner in the 86th minute. Declan Rice opened the scoring before an Aaron Ramsdale mistake led to Yoane Wissa equalising for Brentford in the final moments of the first half.
