Jamie Carragher delivers honest Liverpool title verdict ahead of Arsenal clash

Jamie Carragher is still not 100 per cent sure Liverpool are clear title contenders, as Jurgen Klopp's side prepare to take on Arsenal this weekend.

Carragher, who made 737 appearances for his boyhood club, believes Klopp's men haven't proven just yet that they are ready to take that next vital step. «Throughout the season when you look at the points Liverpool have got, they are one of the top teams in the country,» began Carragher, speaking via Sky Sports on Wednesday evening.

«But, when you look at the performances, I am not so sure. I need convincing and there is no better way to do that then get a result against Arsenal at the weekend who are top of the table. I just think Liverpool might be a little bit short of the title — I hope I am wrong.
