Jamie Carragher has said that Manchester City should be 'sent to the National League North' as Everton face a points deduction.
Everton could be deducted 12 points after the Premier League recommended the harshest possible punishment for alleged Financial Fair Play breaches.
If found guilty by an independent commission, the Toffees face relegation after recording heavy financial losses in the last three years.
A decision is expected by the end of the year, which could have serious implications on the future of the club.
Meanwhile, the Premier League have made 115 charges against City for breaches of financial rules but there has been little update on proceedings.
And Carragher has responded to Everton's problems on social media by insisting the Premier League champions must be in real trouble.
The Liverpool legend wrote: «The PL want a 12 point deduction for Everton for one charge.

City's 115 charges relate to financial breaches over the last 14 seasons.
While Everton's problems are largely down to overspending in recent years.
Over the last five years, the club have announced losses of £44.7 million in 2022, £121.3 million in 2021, £139.9 million in 2020, £111.8 million in 2019 and £13.1 million in 2018.
The Premier League first announced the alleged breach in March and have made just one statement.
