Jurgen Klopp believes his Liverpool squad have successfully filled the hole left by Jordan Henderson and James Milner as he explained why he only deals with the biggest problems among his players.
Both long-time captain Henderson and vice-captain Milner departed in the summer to prompt an overhaul of the Reds' hierarchy with Virgil van Dijk named new skipper and Trent Alexander-Arnold his deputy, while Mohamed Salah joined Andy Robertson and Alisson Becker in the leadership group.
The arrivals of Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai during the recent transfer window mean that, along with Van Dijk, Robertson and Salah, Liverpool now boast five players who are captains of their respective national teams.

And Klopp is convinced there is sufficient leadership within his squad and has been impressed with the impact of the summer arrivals.
"The boys are all different," said the Reds boss. "We lost Jordan Henderson and James Milner, the two captains of this team for years. I was very hopeful that we could deal with it but I was not sure, and I'm really happy the way the boys have grown into it, especially Virgil.
"Virgil has enjoyed being part of the leadership group in the last few years but now he enjoys the new role as well. Trent is growing into it, then there's also Robbo, Mo and Ali is a natural leader. He's not the one that is talking the whole week but when he says something it's important and everybody listens.
