Sir Alex Ferguson has already made his opinion on Jonny Evans crystal clear as the defender reportedly closes in on a Manchester United return.
Having progressed though the famed United academy, Evans left for West Brom for around £8million in 2015 but could now go full circle. He is in talks with the Reds having agreed an initial short term deal earlier this summer following his departure from Leicester City.
Evans, 35, made 198 appearances for United during his first spell at the club and has seemingly done enough to impress Erik ten Hag in recent weeks. With three Premier League medals under his belt, Evans brings a winning mentality forged under Ferguson, who blooded and then developed the centre back.

Should he complete a return to Old Trafford he would provide back-up to Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof. He was a player highly regarded under Ferguson to help smooth their transition from iconic partnership Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
Speaking about Evans in 2012, when he was still United manager, Sir Alex said: "His form has been absolutely consistent over the past few months since he became a regular. Jonny Evans has always had fantastic ability, even as a kid, he was very talented as a boy when he came over here.
