Josh Kroenke responds to stinging KSE letter as Arsenal owner slammed for stadium decision

Arsenal co-chair Josh Kroenke, son of owner Stan Kroenke, has sent a response to Colorado Rapids fans after a fan group, Centennial 38, issued a damning letter towards the club's owners as they endure 'the worst year in history.'

In an open letter published earlier this month, C38 criticisedKroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) for their role in the club's multiple issues both on and off the pitch. After sacking the head coach Robin Fraser earlier this year things haven't changed much on the field with the Rapids sitting bottom of the Western Conference.

They have won just four games all season, scoring 21 times in 29 games, comfortably the fewest in the league. They are 12 points adrift at the bottom and set for lowest finish in the franchise's history, having also finished 10th last year — a far cry from being conference winners in 2021 and overall runners up.

The fans lamented Kroenke and his family empire who have now been owners for nearly 20 years. «The shortcomings go far beyond results on the field and extend to the facilities and infrastructure of the organization,» the letter reads. «It is a culmination of years of underfunding and limited resources.»

Franchise president Padraig Smith is singled out for his role in the downfall whilst the umbrella of KSE was also picked out. «The common denominator of the Rapids' many problems is Kroenke Sports & Entertainment,» they wrote.

«The organization’s record off the field also speaks for itself,» it continued. «Talking down to fans and providing no meaningful connection to the club outside of token press releases; persistent issues with security and stadium staff; raising season ticket prices while the stadium experience and team underperform; general mistreatment of press
