Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Andy Robertson has undergone a successful surgery on his shoulder and says the Liverpool defender's road to fitness starts now.
The left-back suffered the injury in a 2-0 defeat for Scotland against Spain during the international break and was told he would need surgery last week with Klopp revealing that he expected Robertson to be absent for around three months as a result.
Robertson has since gone under the knife and is now facing up to a rehabilitation process that Liverpool hope will go well enough to see him back in the team before January is out.
And the Reds boss also revealed that Cody Gakpo is in contention for Thursday night's visit from Tolouse in the Europa League after injuring his knee in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham on September 30.
There was, however, no update on either Stefan Bajcetic or Thiago Alcantara, who both remained absent and without any Premier League minutes between them so far this term.
