Kai Havertz sends clear Arsenal role message to Mikel Arteta ahead of Man City clash

Arsenal summer signing Kai Havertz has made quite the impression over the last few months. After a challenging first half to the 2023/24 campaign for the 24-year-old, he has been in tremendous form recently with six goal contributions arriving in his last four Premier League games.

While he was on target in the dominant wins over Burnley and Sheffield United, Havertz has also arrived in the big moments and scored important goals with one of those arriving against Brentford last weekend. Following his decisive winner, Arteta was left delighted after the game and thus made his thoughts perfectly clear.

«I’m so happy,» Arteta admitted. «If somebody told me after the first two or three months that the whole stadium would be singing his song with that passion, with that feeling with that chemistry, I would have found it hard to believe. That’s what happens to good people. He's an exceptional player.»

During his difficult run, Havertz was deployed at left-back while playing for Germany with a goal surprisingly arriving in the friendly against Turkiye. Following his scintillating form in attack, Julian Nagelsmann confirmed he would be starting the clash against France in attack and the trust from his national team manager was vindicated very quickly.

With Florian Wirtz on target just seven seconds into the game, Havertz doubled Germany's lead after turning home a cut-back from Jamal Musiala. Yet another goal arriving for Havertz is further proof that Arteta must deploy him against Man City at Etihad Stadium.
