Kieran Tierney admits being at Real Sociedad reminds him of CELTIC.
The Arsenal defender is currently on loan at the La Liga outfit for the season and is loving life in Spain after taking the big step of experiencing football outside the UK for the first time. The Scotland international has been unlucky with injuries but that hasn't ruined his time after admitting he is 'absolutely loving it' with his loan side.
When Tierney made the break through at Celtic he was one of a number of academy graduates to reach the top team and Sociedad is similar but to a much larger degree. He's hailed it an amazing story and one he wants to add his own chapter too as Sociedad get ready for a big Champions League test against PSG and superstar Kylian Mbappe. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he explained: "These boys here are like me playing for Celtic. Growing up, the club is all you know and all you want. When I was there in the first team there was maybe four or five from the academy but here it's more like 13 - it's on the next level. You can tell they have been playing with each other for years. It's second nature - they don't need to think about what decision they take. I am still learning every single day but I think I am adapting to how they want to play and it's more natural to me now."
Tierney - who is hoping to put together a run of form and consistency after his latest injury blow - will be out to make an impact on the big stage like the Champions League as he gets himself fit and firing for Euro 2024 with Scotland this summer.
