Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes his side's game Premier League contest against Tottenham should be replayed following the controversial VAR mistake.
Luis Diaz looked as though he had fired the Reds ahead in the 34th minute, only for the flag to go up for offside.
VAR referee Darren England thought the on-field decision was «goal», and when he identified that Diaz was onside, he told the referee the check was complete.
As a result, he mistakenly told the on-field team that the offside flag was correct, and Liverpool ended up losing the match 2-1.
Since then, the audio of the decision has been released by the Premier League, along with a full overview of what went wrong in a lengthy statement from the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL).
While speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Klopp stated that he believes the match should be replayed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
«The audio didn't change it at all, because I was not interested in why things happened,» said Klopp.
«I saw the outcome, I saw a goal. We scored and it didn't count.
»So I was not waiting for the audio and sitting there and hoping I find out how it could happen.
«It's really important that, as big as football is, we really deal with it in a proper way. That all of the people involved, they didn't do that on purpose.
»We should not forget that. It was an obvious mistake.
«Not as a manager of Liverpool so much, more as a football person, I think the only outcome should be a replay. Probably will not happen.
