Koumas fulfils dream of scoring on Liverpool debut
Liverpool succumbed to their latest talent to put them on course for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Southampton were a tough nut to crack as Lewis Koumas bit back on his official debut for the Reds.
With '67' on his back, he made it 1-0 on the stroke of half-time to lighten the mood at Anfield. The Saints held their opponents at bay until his debutant broke the deadlock with a right-footed strike.
Bobby Clark found Lewis Koumas set up close to the box. He controlled the ball with his right foot and deceived everyone in the crowd with a fine finish towards the near post.
Further proof that Jurgen Klopp has been able to harness the potential of his youth academy from day one. On his official debut for Liverpool, Lewis Koumas introduced himself to the world by making a big name for himself.
