Cancelo, who is currently on loan at Barcelona, spent the second half of the 2022-23 campaign in Germany with Bayern Munich.
The Portugal international was allowed to join the German club after allegedly falling out with Guardiola over a lack of playing time.
Guardiola was said to be unhappy with Cancelo's reaction to being dropped from the starting lineup amid competition from Rico Lewis and Nathan Ake.
The full-back has now commented on the situation, accusing Guardiola of telling «lies» and labelling Man City as «ungrateful».
«Lies were told!» Cancelo said in an interview with A Bola. «I've never been a bad teammate for them and you can ask either (Nathan) Ake or Rico (Lewis). I don't have any superiority or inferiority complex towards them, but that's the manager's opinion.
