Chelsea transfer news: Levi Colwill has been linked with a summer exit from Stamford Bridge amid interest from Brighton, Liverpool and Tottenham
Levi Colwill appears to be facing an uncertain few months at Chelsea amid strong talk of a transfer away from Stamford Bridge. A superb 2022/23 season on loan at Brighton saw Roberto De Zerbi's side return in the early stages of the window with a club-record £40million bid to try and sign the 20-year-old permanently, but it was swiftly rejected by Chelsea.
Tottenham can also be added to that list with the Evening Standard reporting that Ange Postecoglou has placed Colwill on his defensive short list amid growing concerns Liverpool could hijack their transfer for Micky van de Ven.
"He is a Chelsea player and in the last few months [on loan] at Brighton he was playing really well," Pochettino told Chelsea's website about Colwill. "He is one of our players and I need to talk with him when he arrives next week.
"We spoke yesterday with Levi and Noni. One I know, Noni, from Tottenham, in the Under-18s. Of course Levi I know. We wish them all the best. We're waiting for them to be in the team. I think they will fly to America and join us."
With Chelsea's stance and Pochettino's messages making it very clear Colwill is going nowhere, Brighton have moved onto other defensive targets. However, a new comment from Seagulls midfielder Adam Lallana could be a fresh cause for concern to those at Chelsea.
