VAR controversy aside, Jurgen Klopp will be pleased with how his side's campaign is going — but who has been his top performer to date?
Liverpool should probably be sitting top of the Premier League right now. At the very least, their unbeaten record should still be intact. However, they were beaten at Tottenham on Saturday because of a terrible own goal from Joel Matip and some even worse officiating.
Nonetheless, the controversy caused by VAR in north London should not detract from what has been a hugely encouraging start to the 2023-24 campaign for a side that finished fifth last season.
