Liverpool made it seven wins in a row in all competitions after they come behind to beat Leicester City 3-1 in the Carabao Cup.
The Championship high flyers made a dream start at Anfield when Kasey McAteer raced through to score in front of the Kop with just three minutes gone. And, despite the best efforts of the Reds, that was the way it stayed through until half-time.
But just three minutes after the restart, Liverpool levelled, with Cody Gakpo scoring after being set up by fellow Dutchmen Ryan Gravenberch. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp then brought on two big guns off the bench in Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai.
And it was Szoboszlai who made the biggest difference. The midfielder rifled in an unstoppable 70th-minute shot to give Liverpool the lead before Diogo Jota put the final result beyond doubt with a smart 89th-minute finish after great work from Jarell Quansah.
