Liverpool Supporters’ Union Spirit of Shankly have criticised the news that Anfield ticket prices will increase next season.
The club has announced that costs for supporters’ season tickets and Members’ matchday tickets will rise by 2% for 2024/25, with the blame on increasing operating costs at the stadium.
It is a further increase on the 2% rise introduced for the current season. The most expensive matchday ticket will now cost £61 in the Main Stand.

“There’s been no meaningful consultation with supporters over this & it was totally opposed by SOS [Spirit of Shankly] and the majority on the Supporters Board @SpionKop1906,” the Union posted on X.
“It doesn’t reflect the discussions we had when they informed us of their plans. We are incredibly disappointed with @LFC,” they added.

“We are considering our next steps”.
Liverpool have said that annual operating costs for Anfield have increased by nearly 40% over the past six years, during which ticket prices were frozen before this season’s 2% increase.
