Mohamed Salah put Liverpool ahead five minutes into the second-half before Alexander Isak drew his side level. Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo then put Jurgen Klopp's side back in control.
However, Sven Botman then reduced the arrears with a header from a corner before Salah scored from the spot just minutes later after Martin Dubravka brought down Diogo Jota. The Egypt international had earlier saw a spot kick saved.
