Barcelona president Joan Laporta said on Monday that "the referees have to give answers" when asked about Real Madrid's 3-2 win over Almeria on Sunday. The president said the refereeing was a disgrace.
"If there is no answer, it means there is an abandonment of their functions," he said at the Spanish outlet 'Mundo Deportivo' gala in Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Barcelona claimed a 2-4 win over Real Betis on Sunday, with Ferran Torres scoring a hat-trick and assisting Joao Felix's goal.
"We want, as we are improving, a sporting reward. However, because of the VAR we have not been able to get close to first place. We will get our reward and our rivals will stumble, as we did at the beginning of the season," he added.
