You have to go back all the way to the end of September for Manor Solomon's last appearance in a Tottenham shirt. Signing a long-term contract with Spurs in early July after spending the previous campaign at Fulham on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk, the winger was seen as someone who could give Ange Postecoglou's squad an attacking boost due to his qualities in the final third.
Faring well for Fulham in the second half of the campaign after the opening months of his Cottagers career were initially disrupted by a knee injury, two seasons earlier the player had really made his mark for Shakhtar in the Champions League with two goals against Real Madrid. A player with all the attributes to be a big hit in Postecoglou's system, the Israel international made his mark at the club early on with two assists for Son Heung-min in the 5-2 win at Burnley.
Starting in the following game against Sheffield United before coming off the bench in the Arsenal and Liverpool showdowns, the late 2-1 win over the Reds was the last time Solomon pulled on a Tottenham jersey. A few days later it was confirmed by the club that he had suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee in training, thus leaving him on the sidelines for between three to four months.
Now out of action for just over four months in total, Postecoglou recently revealed ahead of the Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion that his player had suffered another setback on the injury front. He said: «He had another procedure on Monday on his knee. Nothing major but we're looking at another two or three weeks for him.»
