Chelsea and Tottenham fans are still waiting for a new date in the calendar for their London derby clash that was recently postponed. Due to play at Stamford Bridge on Friday, February 23, the game, which was scheduled to be on Sky Sports, didn't go ahead as originally planned due to the Blues facing Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final that weekend.
Early last week Premier League clubs discovered their schedules for the first three rounds of matches in April. For Tottenham, their game away at West Ham remains on Tuesday, April 2 but it will now start at the later time of 8.15pm and their next fixture at home to Nottingham Forest kicks off at 8pm on Monday, April 8.
Finally, it is an early start for Tottenham fans five days later as the team take on Newcastle United at St. James' Park in the 12.30pm lunchtime kick-off on Saturday afternoon. Chelsea's start to April now sees them host Manchester United on Thursday, April 4 at 8.15pm before travelling to Sheffield United three days later for a 5.30pm kick-off.
The game in Sheffield was initially confirmed as a 1.30pm start time when April's TV picks were announced on Tuesday but three days later there was another change to the time and it didn't go down well with supporters. The Blues' third game in April then sees them take on Everton at Stamford Bridge in an 8pm kick-off.
Despite the update regarding those three match rounds, there was no mention of a new confirmed date for the Chelsea vs Tottenham showdown.
What could complicate things going forward is that the Blues may have three games to rearrange due to their participation in the FA Cup. Already needing a new date for their game against Arsenal that was pencilled in for Saturday, March 16 as that is the same weekend
