Wataru Endo and Darwin Nunez have picked up eight yellow cards in the Premier League this season. Any player who receives 10 cautions - before a certain point - will have to serve a two-game suspension. The cut-off for that ban comes after the 32nd matchday. Liverpool have played 29 games so far.
The Reds take on rock-bottom Sheffield United, Manchester United and Crystal Palace in their next three fixtures.
