A Liverpool-based dessert shop created a unique dessert that has become so popular on social media that customers have been left “disappointed” due to how fast it sells out. Doogle's Donuts is a donut shop originally based in Prescot which has since expanded to Mann Island, Lark Lane and Allerton.
The ECHO previously reported how the Kirkby branch of the restaurant was forced to close last year. People on social media who follow the restaurant were delighted to see the return of the ‘doissant’ last month - which is a dessert exclusive to the brand.

Owner Christian Anderson explained: “The doissant is an original from us, you pronounce it the same as Croissant, just with a D. The DNA is donut and the structure is croissant.”
The doissant comes in three flavours - pistachio cream, nutella and, finally, biscoff, which is vegan. Since the launch of the doissant, people have taken to social media to express their opinions on the unusual dessert.
One instagram user said: “These are amazing!”
Helen said: “Omg I do want to try,” while Victoria added: “Oh my goodness.”
Another instagram user said: “It literally was THE best doissant I’ve ever had. Ok I’ve never had one before but it was also the best doughnut I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of them before.”
Owner Christian explained that customers are often left without the treat they came in for as they sell out so quickly, saying: “We do unfortunately disappoint customers daily who have travelled far and wide to get one.”
