Manchester United youngster Omari Forson has described making his first-team debut for the club as 'an honour'.
Forson made the move to Manchester from Tottenham's academy in 2019 and he's since made excellent progress, establishing himself as a key player for the Under-21 side.
Erik ten Hag named Forson in the squad for the pre-season tour of the United States last summer and six months later, he was given the chance to make his first senior appearance against Wigan Athletic. United were leading 2-0 against Wigan in the FA Cup on Monday when Forson replaced Marcus Rashford in added time, which meant he became the 249th academy player to make a United debut.

He spoke to MUTV after the game to reflect on his landmark moment. "I think it's an honour. I've been working toward this moment for a long time now, so really happy to finally get my minutes," a delighted Forson said.
"Nothing much [going through his head] really, just listen to what the manager said, come on, work hard and try make an impact.
"Kobbie [Mainoo] has been playing quite a lot recently and there are a lot of other academy boys that have come through the same system as I have, so that's really helped me."
Forson's contract with United expires at the end of the season, but the Manchester Evening Newsunderstands he's set to sign a new deal in recognition of his progression.
Forson regularly trains with the first team and he's highly regarded among coaching staff at Carrington.
