Manor Solomon admits that his chat with Ange Postecoglou completely sold him on a move to Tottenham Hotspur despite his strong feelings for Fulham.
The 23-year-old winger was signed on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk following a season on loan at Craven Cottage. The Israel international impressed with a bright first half display in Tottenham's pre-season friendly against West Ham in Perth on Tuesday as he caused the Hammers constant problems down the left and could have marked his debut with a goal or two after having a couple of shots saved.
Postecoglou's brand of attacking football was clear to see already with Spurs having 30 shots on goal to just four from David Moyes' side, but it was West Ham who walked away with the 3-2 victory from Perth's Optus Stadium.
Solomon is hoping that the Tottenham fans will see plenty more of his dribbling and direct play down the flanks for Postecoglou's side this season.
«I hope to bring as much as possible to Tottenham, to try to create chances, to assist, to score goals. We created so many chances [against West Ham], but we didn’t exploit them the way we needed to. We will improve those things and I think we had a good performance,» he said.
«I always want to improve, to improve myself and to improve the team. That’s my goal. I am still young, so I still have big room to improve. I haven’t showed anything yet, I think. I will try to bring energy, I will try to bring speed, dribble for the team and to help as much as possible.»
