Matt Le Tissier has claimed that he fell out with Jamie Carragher through a row over the latter's suspension from Sky Sport.
Carragher's future as a pundit was hanging by a thread back in 2018 when he was filmed spitting at a car containing a man and a 14-year-old girl after being mocked on the road.
Carragher, then 40, was clinging onto his role and suspended, but following a full and frank apology on Sky News in the immediate aftermath as well as sessions with renowned psychiatrist Steve Peters, the defender was reinstated to his role.
Le Tissier, however, was sacked by Sky Sports in 2020 as the broadcaster re-shuffled their Soccer Saturday panel.
The former Southampton forward, however, didn't take the decision lying down, and claimed on the World Class Stamp Podcast that he questioned the employment of Carragher in the aftermath - which the ex-Liverpool man took issue with.
'I would say Gary,' Le Tissier said when asked whether he prefers Carragher or fellow Sky man Gary Neville. 'Jamie isn't my favourite person in the world.
'I upset him apparently. He didn't like it, he rang me up last summer. He had the right hump. I found it quite funny.
'He was a bit upset. Talking about when I got sacked at Sky, and I asked them if it was anything to do with my social media post when they sacked me, because they didn't say specifically that it was. Their answer was that we do have to take into consideration the reputation of our company.
'You didn't seem to bothered about the reputation of your company when you re-employed Jamie Carragher after he spat at that young girl.
'Jamie got a bit upset that I brought that up again. He got my number off Phil Thompson and rang me up.
