Michael O'Neill is the best man for the job regardless of recent results
Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have only earned points in their Euro 2024 qualifiers against San Marino and Gibraltar respectively but while the FAI are going to ditch Stephen Kenny, there is no way the Irish FA will be sacking Michael O’Neill. Nor should they. He remains the best man for the job.
From what I’ve seen and heard over the past week not every Northern Ireland fan would be in agreement with that but believe me if the country is to achieve success in the form of reaching another major tournament the 54-year-old former Stoke City and Shamrock Rovers boss is the person to deliver it.
