Mykhailo Mudryk teases injury update after Chelsea blow and Mauricio Pochettino update

Mykhailo Mudryk has sent a message to Chelsea supporters following the star's injury announcement ahead of tonight's clash with Luton Town at Stamford Bridge.

The Ukrainian international, who has had limited roles in both of Chelsea's game so far this season, picked up an issue in training this week and will be out for at least a few days.

Mudryk fell under serious criticism from both the media and fans for his lack of impact after replacing the injured Carney Chukwuemeka at halft-ime in the 3-1 loss against West Ham last weekend.

The 22-year-old accumulated just 0.1xG in 45 minutes against the Irons, and completed just 64% of his passes in a second-half Blues performance that lacked any serious threat to David Moyes' side.

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, however, seemed to be pleased with Mudryk's involvement and noted that his injury was disappointing but not something worth worrying over too much.

Posting to his Instagram account, Mudryk snapped a selfie of him around the Knightsbridge area — not far from Stamford Bridge — with the caption simply being a hourglass emoji indication he's awaiting his return.
