Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted rival supporters wish they were in the Reds' position after winning the Carabao Cup on Sunday afternoon.
The odds were stacked against Klopp's men building up to the final as injuries ripped through the squad. First-team regulars Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah both missed the game at the last minute as Liverpool were forced to field a mixed XI of youth and experience at Wembley Stadium.
Those who were fit managed to do themselves proud as they took Chelsea to extra-time. Just as both sets of supporters were mentally preparing themselves for penalties, Virgil van Dijk rose highest from a late corner to win the match for his team.

Inside Liverpool's Carabao Cup celebrations
The final whistle sparked jubilant scenes at Wembley as the Reds' players, fans and staff alike celebrated Liverpool's tenth League Cup. Unsurprisingly, these celebrations were met with a mix of jealous reactions from supporters of rival clubs.
Arsenal fan Piers Morgan played down the achievement by posting a picture of an emotional Klopp with the caption: "If winning the Carabao Cup makes you cry, it’s definitely time to move on." However, speaking to beIN SPORTS post-match the German head coach had a message for the critics.
"All the celebrations after the game were second to none, really, really special," he explained. "I know fans of other clubs will say it is just the Carabao Cup and stuff like this but you wish you were here to play a game like that against an opponent like that and win it, and deserve to win it - that is super special."
