Ozil shares image of home mural dedicated to his career but IGNORED Arsenal

A former Arsenal player has revealed a new mural dedicated to his time playing at some of Europe's biggest clubs, but made the strange decision not to include the Gunners in the design.

The former World Cup winner recently revealed his astonishing new physique and has been making adjustments to the decor in his state-of-the-art home gym.

Mesut Ozil announced his retirement from football in March last year at the age of 34 following a stunning career where he enjoyed success at some of Europe's top clubs.

The former Arsenal midfielder and Germany international had been playing for Turkish top flight side Istanbul Basaksehir at the time but announced his decision to leave football behind during a difficult season.

Ozil starred for German sides Schalke and Werder Bremen before later moving to Real Madrid in 2010 and going on to make 159 appearances for the Spanish giants.

Arsenal later broke their club transfer record in 2013 by forking out £42.5m for the playmaker who went on to make 254 appearances for the Gunners and scoring 44 goals in the process.

However, Ozil appears to have ignored his time at Arsenal when designing his new artistic installation that honours his time at only three of his clubs, while also declaring his 'love' for Juventus.

The mural features a younger-looking Ozil in three different team shirts, Schalke, Real Madrid and Werder Bremen, while Arsenal join Fenerbahce and Istanbul in missing the cut.

Captioning the picture of his design, Ozil posted to his 27m Instagram followers: 'Proud of my career and all the amazing clubs I've had the privilege to play for - only one club that was missing: My Italian love @Juventus.'
