Saturday's 2-2 draw at Brentford has left a sour taste in the mouth of Chelsea supporters. After leading 1-0 at half-time, the Blues collapsed after the break, with the game changing in a 19-minute period at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Nicolas Jackson handed the visitors the lead on 35 minutes with a towering header into the bottom corner. However, the Bees fought back in the second-half thanks to goals from Mads Roerslev and Yoane Wissa to give them the advantage over their west London rivals.
Fortunately, Axel Disasi was on hand to ensure the points were shared with a back post header on 83 minutes. Chelsea, though, could not find a winning goal on the day and the travelling supporters were quick to let their discontent known.
X-rated chants directed at Mauricio Pochettino were clear to hear from the away end when the side were losing 2-1. There were also negative songs directed at owner Todd Boehly in what turned out to be a toxic atmosphere from the visiting supporters.
It has piled the pressure, once again, on Pochettino but he did not seem too fazed about the chants at full-time. He believes there is still a lot for Chelsea to play for between now and the end of the season. And with that said, Bobby Vincent predicts some of the things that may happen between now and the conclusion of the campaign.
The plan for Chelsea has always been to assess the managerial situation in the summer. Pochettino signed a two-year deal with the Blues, with an option of a further 12 months, so his situation will be looked at following the season's conclusion.
