Kylian Mbappe's imminent transfer to Real Madrid is one of football's worst-kept secrets, with still no official announcement made regarding the switch.
However, it was widely reported last month that the France international had told those at the top of Paris Saint-Germain's hierarchy he has no intention of staying with the Ligue 1 champions and is keen to ply his trade in Spain. Mbappe is out of contract in Paris this coming June and has made clear he will not be signing a new one.
There are still aspects of the deal with Los Blancos that need to be agreed, but Mbappe has his heart set on Real Madrid. Despite the fact the World Cup winner recently declared that there is nothing to announce, his international team-mate Aurelien Tchouameni seems to think otherwise.
Tchouameni, current Real Madrid star, seemed to confirm Mbappe's transfer during an interview with French outlet Telefoot. The midfielder notably used the word "when", rather than "if" while discussing whether his France colleague would be joining him in the Spanish capital.
“The Spanish are already aware of the player that Mbappe is," he explained. "When they see him on a daily basis, they’ll realise what a big player he is."
Mbappe could be joining a Real Madrid side that have added another LaLiga title to their collection. With nine games left to play this season, Carlo Ancelotti's side sit top of the pile with a whopping eight-point advantage over nearest challengers and fierce rivals Barcelona.
There is also every chance that Mbappe's current side meet his next one, given both Real Madrid and PSG have reached the last eight of the Champions League. Drawn on opposite sides of the competiton, if they do cross paths it will be in the final.
