Richarlison has opened up on his Tottenham hat-trick against Lion City Sailors and how he is feel ahead of the new Premier League season
Richarlison believes the 2023/24 campaign will be a "good season" for him as he bids to overcome a difficult first year at Tottenham. Joining in a £60million deal from Everton, the attacker only managed three goals for the club, with only one of those coming in the Premier League.
"I'm over the moon, so happy," he told SPURSPLAY following the win. "Thank you fans, thank you Singapore for this pre-season. I like Singapore and this pre-season is good for me and the group."
He added: "I feel good. Last season I had too many injuries and now I feel good, my body is good. I think it [will be] a good season for me."
"This guy is amazing," said Emerson. "I speak every time about Richy because this guy deserves the goals and the best. For me, it's very good for him. The third goal I passed to him, I'm so happy with this."
With the Premier League opener against Brentford edging ever closer, Emerson has called on the Spurs team to keep on pushing on the training pitch as they bid to return to the Champions League.
"It's very important for us, we need to push, we need to go back in the Champions League and Europe because we have the team for this," he admitted. "We will try in the season and for us it's very important the pre-season to push every time. We have more training weeks and need to push a little bit more for the season."
