Rio Ferdinand believes Kylian Mbappe is a better player than Thierry Henry, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, with Owen Hargreaves also tipping the Frenchman to win the Ballon d'Or in the forthcoming years of a stellar career.
Mbappe, who has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea in recent months, was the star of the show in PSG's round-of-16 win over Real Sociedad and scored two goals. He's expected to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, when his contract with the current Ligue 1 champions expires.
The 25-year-old has already had an impressive career, winning the World Cup in 2018 and scoring a hat-trick in the final of the 2022 tournament. Despite France losing on penalties against Argentina, Mbappe has won several team and individual honours during his time at PSG.
However, there's one thing Mbappe hasn't done yet: win the Champions League or play domestically outside of France. He started his career at Monaco before moving to PSG.
On the other hand, Haaland won the Treble with Manchester City in his first season in England. Harry Kane has also been impressive, scoring loads of goals for Tottenham and now Bayern Munich.
When asked who he thinks is the best out of the three, Ferdinand said that Mbappe «has something different» compared to Haaland and Kane.
