Seven first team players present at Madrid training session
Real Madrid, who completed the third training session of the week with their reserve team Castilla, are awaiting medical tests in the Spanish capital for Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga, who returns on Thursday after suffering a blow to his right knee on Wednesday during a training session with his national team.
As 'EFE' has learned from club sources, the planned MRI on the player's knee will be scheduled when the player arrives in the Spanish capital, which could be on Thursday afternoon or as early as Friday, as determined by Real Madrid's medical staff.
Real Madrid want to assess the player before drawing any conclusions, although the French national team issued a statement early on Wednesday in which it described the injury as "a sprained right knee".
Pending the extent of Camavinga's injury, Italy coach Carlo Ancelotti had just seven fit first-team players available for the third session of the international break on Thursday.
Spaniards Nacho Fernandez, Lucas Vazquez, Fran Garcia and Brahim Diaz; Ukrainian Andriy Lunin, Frenchman Ferland Mendy and German Toni Kroos shared training with the reserve team coached by Raul Gonzalez Blanco.
Meanwhile, the injured players who are set to return for the first game after the break, on Sunday 26th November when they travel to Cadiz, Dani Ceballos (muscular discomfort) and Jude Bellingham (left shoulder dislocation) trained on their own on the pitch at Madrid's training ground.
