A teenager with a passion for theatre is bringing his first professional play to the public stage.
Callum O'Brien, 18, took the leading role directing and producing Two Cities Half the World Away by One Night in Istanbul written by Nicky Allt - despite being the youngest and least experienced in the rehearsal room.
He said: "It has been challenging to an extent, but I've enjoyed the challenge and I've learned so much from it. There's no better way to learn than to jump in at the deep end. I'm lucky because I've had people in the industry around Liverpool supporting me and helping me out."

Callum, a former Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts student, set up his own theatre company, Beyond The Line, last year with the specific aim of bringing Nicky's play to life. The story follows Scouser Liam and Mancunian Terry, who clash over the historic rivalries of their respective football clubs after being thrown into the same prison cell during a rowdy night of drinking. But as the night wears on, the two men set aside their prejudices, and learn they are not so different after all.
The play stars Joseph Stanley, who has appeared in several TV productions including in the six-part drama Ringside, wartime movie Enemy of the Heart, and docu-drama Liverpool Narcos, as Liam, the die-hard Liverpool FC fan. Jack Willis plays Terry, and Neil McDonald, who has appeared in nearly 50 Liverpool plays and short films, plays prison guard Frank.
