Tierney exit confirmed
Arsenal have officially confirmed that defender Kieran Tierney has joined La Liga oufit Real Sociedad on loan for the 2023/24 season.
The Scottish international had fallen low down the pecking order in recent times, with Mikel Arteta preferring an inverted option on at left-back, a role that didn't quite suit Tierney's strengths. The likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jurrien Timber and Jakub Kiwior had all been used ahead of the 26-year-old so far this season
A club statement from the north Londoners read: «Everyone at Arsenal wishes Kieran all the best this coming season with Real Sociedad. The loan deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.»
Guendouzi windfall
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, former Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is close to leaving Marseille to join Serie A outfit Lazio in a deal worth €13million plus €5million in add-ons (£15.4million).
In January, the Mirror reported that the north Londoners are thought to have included a 15% sell-on clause when they sell Guendouzi to the Ligue 1 side. This means, if the is eventually completed, the Gunners will receive around £1.5million from the transfer.
