Joao Cancelo is thought to be nearing his move to Barcelona.
The full-back has been chased by the La Liga champions for a while having failed to feature competitively for City since January amid his loan to Bayern Munich last season.
Spanish outlet Jijantes claimed to show footage of the defender arriving at El Prat Airport in Barcelona on Friday afternoon, although Sport reporter Toni Juanmarti says that his move rests on Eric Garcia’s potential loan to Girona, who are part of the City Group’s club portfolio.
Ser Catalunya journalist Nil Sola says Garcia’s move is due to go through before the deadline, meaning Cancelo should get his move.
Meanwhile, Lazio are apparently considering a late loan bid for City EDS product Oscar Bobb. The 20-year-old has made the bench three times this season after an impressive pre-season and is considered among the next wave of academy talent.

Bobb, yet to make his senior debut, provided a massive 18 academy assists last season and chipped in with eight goals. The attacker has apparently grabbed the interest of Lazio, as per Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who are looking for reinforcements after a poor start to their Serie A season.
Fellow academy hopeful Slobodan Tedic also could potentially be on his way out of the Etihad on loan. Journalist Fraser Fletcher claims the striker is of interest to League One club Charlton Athletic.
The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Barnsley, where he scored four goals in 29 appearances. Signed from Serbian side Cukaricki in 2020, Tedic is yet to make a matchday squad for City’s first team.
