Without a win in five, Francesco Farioli has called for a reaction from his OGC Nice side. Having dropped from second to fifth during the current barren run, Les Aiglons risk undoing their hard work.
Nice have not only not won in their last five in Ligue 1, they have also lost three of their last four. Following the club’s latest defeat, against Toulouse FC, Farioli denied talk of a “crisis”, but did nonetheless call for his team to “wake up”.
The Italian, much lauded since his arrival at the Allianz Riviera in the summer, has repeated his calls for a reaction ahead of Friday’s match against Montpellier HSC. “The time for excuses is over. It is time to react, to give a strong and collective reaction […] we have to find the spark to get back on track. We have 10 matches to reap the fruits of our efforts this season,” said Farioli in Wednesday’s pre-match press conference.
