Thierry Henry’s cool response about Champions League loss sums up why Arsenal shouldn’t be worried

Thierry Henry has given a cool response as to why he remains confident that Arsenal can progress in the Champions League.

The Gunners were beaten 1-0 by Porto in their last-16 first leg on Wednesday night. Galeno scored the decisive goal for the home team at the Estadio do Dragao to see Arsenal trail after the first leg.

Arsenal welcome Porto to the Emirates Stadium in the second leg on Tuesday, March 12. The Gunners have three Premier League fixtures between now and then, at which point Mikel Arteta and Co. will still have hopes of reaching the quarter-final.

Arsenal have not reached the last eight of the Champions League in any of their previous campaigns in the tournament. Not since the 2009/10 season have the Gunners played a quarter-final tie in Europe's most prestigious cup competition.

Host Kate Abdo asked Henry if he «felt sick» after seeing Arsenal concede a late goal to lose the first leg to Porto. The former France international gave a cool response to show his confidence in the Gunners completing a comeback.

«Roll the tape that I said last week, and you'll see that I don't feel sick,» said Henry. «There is a return leg, I'm relaxed.»

This is Arsenal's first Champions League campaign since the 2016/17 season, which saw the Gunners lose 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich. Henry has 35 goals in 78 appearances
